It is a safe assumption that, polished and unpolished concrete must be protected from the top layer. When done so, the surface serves for a long time, does not deteriorate and does not become dusty. Concrete floor is a mineral product consisting of cement, sand and crushed stone. Very often the top layer of concrete floors is destroyed under the influence of mechanical stress, as well as a result of a chemical reaction arising from the interaction of the concrete surface with air.

Lithium-based sealers and silicates stimulate the chemical reaction of the concrete top layer, hardening the surface and preventing it from cracking and dusting. The Ultralit Gloss Shield Concrete Sealer is based on lithium silicate, which greatly differentiates it from competitive products. Sealer perfectly protects by penetrating inside the micropores without creating a top layer. The Ultralit Gloss Shield Sealer is a white, odorless liquid containing almost 80% water. It is applied on the concrete surface with a spray gun and it has to be spread over the surface with a microfiber mop. The sealer is perfectly rubbed down with a diamond pad 3500 or 8000 grid, without burning and it leaves no traces.

A concrete floor surface treated with sealer lasts much longer and looks better than the one where  investor or contractor decided not to apply the sealer to the finished, polished or unpolished surface.
Sealers are widely used on concrete and stone floors. However, it is worth remembering that non-particles of sealer for concrete floors penetrate into micropores, even the smallest ones, will never 100% protect the surface from the penetration of aggressive chemicals, acids and other substances that destroy the structure of concrete. And if an investor needs a 100% guarantee of non-penetration, it is always better to choose resin floors instead of relying on a pore-penetrating sealer.
