Pioneer Eclipse Steady Air Fuel Ratio Pioneer Technology

Pioneer Eclipse 420BU is equipped with the state-of-the-art SAFR™ (Steady Air Fuel Ratio) technology, which monitors the pressure between air filter and carburettor. Contaminated air filter reduces air flow, which causes enrichment of the fuel-air map, what in turn results in an increase in CO emission. Contaminated filter leads to air pressure drop. With SAFR™ technology, air pressure drop causes reduction of the amount of fuel supplied to the engine. A net result is a constant fuel-to-air ratio, regardless of the condition of the air filter.
